I didn't realize it was possible to have a myspace email account, because in order to sign up with myspace, you have to enter your regular email address.

Sounds like you need to get an email account besides myspace.

That's tough. I would suggest contacting customer support and explaining the situation. If you can provide personal information to prove that you are the owner of the account, I'm sure they will give you a new password.

on the sign in page by login it has a thing forgot password..go into that ..it will send u ur password in a email..if that doesn't work u may have to get a new account.....be sure when u find ur password hit remember me on loggin that helps...

Project Playlist and Myspace problems!!??

ok, i have a project playlist account which i put on my myspace. note when i put it on my myspace there was no link to put in the "about me" category. I decided i wanted to delete the playlist account all together. not knowing how to do that properly, i deleted the whole project playlist account. now, not only is my playlist still on my myspace, i can't get on my playlist to delete the songs i had.

then, after i paniced because i relized i had deleted the playlist account, i created another playlist account and put that one on my myspace. now, i have two project playlist accounts going at the same time and i don't want either of them.

How do i get a deleted project playlist account off of my myspace, and how do i get a working playlist off my account??

However you can be tracked by your IP address...my boyfriend did that to me when he thought I was going on personal sites, and with that he could see anything and everything I ever did. Did you use one of those modules that automatically send add requests to just about everyone? that's a spam issue. Or maybe someone just accidentally reported your email as spam. Is it just me, or is MySpace completely pointless? I have a MySpace (unfortunately) after my friends cajoled me into making one up a little while ago. It's completely useless and I still don't get . If I want to talk to people, I call them on the phone. It seems that MySpace's main purpose is to post photos of yourself (all too often, skanky-ish ones taken for the sole purpose of "looking hot" for all the strangers that come on by) and then sit back and wait for the feedback to roll in. That, or to post some kind of questionnaire or poll for everyone to see, even though no one really cares about how many years you've known your BFF, or what you're wearing right now. :P

Maybe you should try facebook. I know they are similar, but I think the idea of facebook is more "networking" than showing off and trying to get feedback. I know that I have CLOSE friends who I pick up the phone and call when I want, but I have other friends, some out of the country, who our main way of keeping in touch is via facebook. It's a useful tool if you don't misuse it.

Myspace is whatever you make it....something private (if you put it on private) just for yours friends to keep in touch. I mean honestly, I dont want to always pick up the phone...sometimes I get annoyed with one hr conversations, id rather send a message...myspace is also a place to promote yourself as a musician, entertainer, whatever, its a way to connect...many bands have been discovered on myspace (panic at the disco, etc) It is what you want to make it.

Actually I find it quite useful to stay in contact with family and friends who live far away. Making phone calls can get expensive and using myspace is free. If I send an e-mail I have to weed through a bunch of junk mail before I get to them. I find its mostly the very younger generation that post photos and chain letters that are annoying. You just have to limit the amount of young people who have access to your myspace

I find myspace very useful keeping in contact with friends that do not live close to me anymore. I live in New York but grew up in California, so myspace is what I use to keep in contact with childhood friends. I also have friends in Toronto, Texas and even just other parts of NYS that I probably would not talk to otherwise.

I really like the invitation feature, so you can invite people to your parties/gatherings right online.

A lot of people use it as a dating site too. In comparison to other expensive dating sites, myspace is much more affordable and there is likely to be even more people on it.

I asked a totally different question earlier. One of my answers said basically that I was too old to be on myspace. I tend to lean that way. There are a lot of the younger crowd on there. I basically signed up to try and find some old friends from home. I just moved back home two years ago from being gone for almost 16 years. That was the real reason why I signed up on myspace. I actually have found a lot of old freinds on there and most of them are my age. I did have a date with one girl on the site. Was the best four days of my life. you are not too old to be on myspace. i'm going to go out on a limb and guess you're in 30's+, and i've seen very many people on their that age. myspace has a lot more things to do than 'hooking up' like the youth is there for. there are plenty of blogs to read, forums to read, video clips to watch, and music to check out. i'm 24 and all but one of my friends are in my age range, or older. people tend to focus on the younger myspace users because they're the ones flashing the most skin, and getting the most media attention for getting into trouble. don't worry what people say. i found 4 of my cousins on there. go there and reconnect with people and enjoy it =)

Actually i read in rolling stone magazine that only about 20% of the people signed up on myspace are 25 years old and younger. The rest are all older. yeah i thought it was a bit strange hearing that because i'm a teen and i feel as if myspace is mostly kids. Okay Here is the situation I was looking around on myspace.com and I came across my 39 yr old brother-in -laws page.. he does not have much on it just 2 friends both girls , there are no messages like on some of the other pages, anyway here is the problem he filled out his astro sign and his marital status( he put single ) he has benn married for a year and has a 7 mth old baby.... I find this kinda odd.

It's possible that he created the account before marriage or because of curiosity/boredom....many of these online profile things have defaults in which single is just part of the default and unless you go in and change it to married, or know to do this, it remains in default status. Not sure if myspace is the same, but he deserves the benefit of the doubt....

So I am in an LDR right now with someone. We have known each other two years, and he tells me he loves me. He is 5k miles away from me. Obviously we dont see each other much. This past feb he started a myspace, he said his friend started it for him and he just went along with it. It says that he's single. I dont have myspace, but i've looked at his. Most of his friends are girls he grew up with or knew in high school...a few are in the miltary with him. It's hard to develop and impossible to enforce "rules" from that far away, with that little contact.

I know single people who put "in a serious relationship" to avoid tons of stalkers, but they're mostly women.

I think you need to relax on something he probably put very little thought in originally, as harmless as mistyping his address!

Besides, with no commitment, what do you want him to call himself? He is single, at least by law, until married or widowed!!!

my friend tried to get into my myspace and now it says "too many failed login attempts, please enter verification code" im using the correct password and the correct e-mail, but it still wont let me in...some1 please tell me how long i have to wait before i can log into my myspace again

i entered the verification code and it still doesnt let me in...i have waited 2 hours so far and i just tried logging in and it still wont let me

Just have them send you the email with your password. It usually works after that.

So every time I try to get onto MySpace using Firefox, it instantly closes the window. If I use Internet Explorer, it doesn't close it. There's some stupid National Treasure background thing on MySpace's homepage, could it be that or is something wrong with Firefox when it goes to MySpace? Firefox works on every other website but that.

I'd give you 1000 to 1 odds that it's not FireFox causing the problem. Try removing the background image in IE and then open the page in FireFox to see if it makes a difference.

Honestly I doubt its the image though, unless you happen to be hot-linking the image from another site and it happens to be a dynamic image.

Same thing with me. I tried contacting myspace help but have not heard from them. Do you have a google tool bar? I got on myspace and up on the google search bar it said 0 Blocked I hit that and it said popups okay and then I logged in on myspace with no problem. Might wanted to try that......

Okay, I have a myspace and I also have a really good tracker, even though I know myspace prohibits them. My question is, Can someone look at my page and not be picked up by the tracker? It seems my views will go up a few at a time, but my tracker won't pick up the location... The same with my hubby's page too. Is there some kind of software that's hiding a person completely? I know you can hide your IP, but can you be invisible when viewing a Myspace page?

Yes, sometimes it doesnt pick it up but my bf views my page and he doesnt have a tracker but it posts his information on my trakzor thing. I see the time and where they are from and u can also if u know there id u can name the person on the trakzor so when they view it there name will pop up. No lie i was skeptical at first but been using it for a while and i get pretty accurate info not just from friends but anybody who views my page!!!!!

That is why trackers do not work. The only way that the tracker is able to pick up the people that visit your page, is if they have the same tracking device that you do...otherwise you won't know their info or that they even went to your profile. Really...trackers don't fully work. Good Luck!

I can think of two possibilities:

1. when you say it goes back to the myspace homepage, if you are referring to the page where all the links are across the top, such as home, mail, music, forum and all that, then you just need to click home and it should go to your homepage -OR-

2. if you mean that it goes back to the login page, then you have probably been phished...you could've clicked on something that opened a fake login page and saved your info for someone else to use. In this case, you should go to myspace (type www.myspace.com) in the address bar and sign in, and change your password immediately.

It does that to me sometimes to..it sucks...when you press the loggin button and it goes back to the myspace page go to the top and try hitting home...sometimes that works for me..or try logging off the computer and logging back on and trying myspace again...it sucks but sometimes you have to take a break leave it alone and come back to it....good luck
