what are the pros and cons of my space?

We are dealing with this question with our daughter right now. A pro I guess is being able to express themselves by how they design their page, listing their likes and dislikes, writing blogs... however a major con that we have observed is that a kid can get to some nasty pages in less than three clicks without even trying to. Pretty scary.

PROS:contact with old friends that you dont see.

meet new people

make new friends

keep a journel

let people get to know u by expressing urself

CONS:

stalkers could come kill you

hurt relationships

pros : something to do

cons: anyone can see where u live and they can find ur personal info

Pros

- talk to friends from school

- catch up with friends from far away that you dont see often

- display artwork or music you have created

- learn more about yourself through blogging/writing

- create a custom profile for yourself

- take interesting surveys

Cons:

- possibility of stalkers (dont add strangers if you want to prevent this)

- people can see your personal info (you can set your profile to private so only friends can see it)

- website features are frequently down for maitenance

- there is a big spamming problem right now

---Myspace is a great website, and the only issues with it come from people mis-using it and being stupid. Sure, a girl got raped, but thats because she was 13, had 1,000s of friends, and gave out her address and stuff. Not smart
