almost every1 @ my school has one. all of my bffs do too.

i really want one. y? NOT peer pressure. i want to have my own space that i control, talk to ONLY ppl i kno, and i want to show ppl the other side of me. i AM not the goody two shoes 13 yr old girl that every1 (other than friends) think i am... in myspace you CAN block ppl rite? u CAN put ur profile on private. rite? u CAN report ppl rite?

i kno the risks of predators. and i watch those lil documentaries about em... if there is a prob. i'll definately tell my parents. whatevr the person says.

im not allowed to have one bcuz my parents. BUT they dont kno about the private profiles, blocking, and reporting. I WANT ONE SO BAD... x(

talk to your parents and tell them to read the info to the parents about myspace on the main website. But myspace strongly recommends that you be 16 to have an account im just saying that not to offend you.

You can make one and make it private. Should is a subjective word, but if I were you I would do whatever makes you most happy. If your parents find out they will be angry, but it won't be the end of the world.

I'm 56, and I have a MySpace. If you can prove to your parents that you are responsible, have only your friends on there, can set your account to "Private", and it won't interfere with your schoolwork or other important activities, I can't see why they shouldn't give you a chance.

have on behind their backs. u'll get bored of it after a few months. i did. i still have it but i dont use it anymore. You have a higher chance to meet weird ppl and predators on yahoo answers and random chat rooms than in MySpace :O.

ps. Myspace is time consuming so be careful not to let ur parents see u'r on it lol.

Ask yourself why do you really want one. Yes all your friends have one but that doesn't mean you have to follow the crowd. Your parents are just looking out for your best interest. You can still communicate on the internet with Myspace.

you can try to talk to your parents, and explain the privacy settings on myspace. let them know its only yo talk to your own friends. also, you can put it on private and if you do, only the people you allow can see your profile. If people act inappropriately, you CAN report them. I have had a myspace for a few years now, and if you act responsible, then it is not as dangerous as people make it out to be.

also, it could help if you make a deal with your parents, maybe allow them to view your profile once in a while. in fact, my mom used to have my password, so she was ok with me having one.

you can block people, your myspace can be private, and i think you can report people.

I have had a myspace for 2 years. People have tried to get my number and other information but just be careful. All you have to do is block them and you will be fine.

Sign up for it and just put it on private. No one will be allowed in it unless you are a Friend of theirs. Your parents don't really have to know if you are safe with it and don't talk to random people... When you go myspace it will tell you information about it....You should ask your Friend to help you set it up too.

don't take the chance. It doesn't ruin your life if you don't have one, I don't and i'm liven the dream of getting all the babes. YAYA!!! Plus people think it's kind of wierd when they meet somebody online. It's just wierd, go up to them in person. It may be awkward but it's alot better then online. If you have a cell phone with texting or unlimeted minuets then what ever they woudl tell you on myspace, they can just call or text you. You don't really do much on myspace. I got rid of mine, it's pretty much a time waster. I found face book, honestly facebook is a lot better.

I say listen to your parents. Yes, you can have a private profile and yes, you can block people -- but you are still at risk for having people pretending to be your friends contacting you and other problems common with networking sites. A lot of rumors can be started on MySpace and while you may be mature enough to dismiss them, others in your age group are not that mature and it can be detrimental to your reputation and/or ability to pay attention to what really matters at school -- learning. Wait until you and your peers a little older to start an online page; what you post online can stay around and haunt you for the rest of your life (literally future employers may be able to trace pictures, etc. that you post now 20 years down the road). Your parents definitely are protecting you and your future by not allowing you to have your own site just yet.

give them an example of a friend's profile, show them that there are private profiles etc etc then ask them why they still won't let you have one.

If you want to talk to only people you know, pick up the phone or write a note and see em at school. The other thing is, you are 13!!! You ought to be a goody two shoes! I promise later in life it will pay off and youll be proud of yourself. What other people think of you is important to a place but its not everything. Id much rather be a goody goody than the slut!

you aren't going to like my answer much...so i'll be okay without my 10 point best answer but honestly....

just respect your parents on this....for a time...you have SO much life to live ahead of you and you will get more and more responsibility. things like myspace will still be around and your friends won't look down on you.

your parents have to do what they think is best for you and while at this point in your life that feels unfair because i know you feel ready to take on the world...i know i did at 13. and while yes...you have private profiles and such...just be 13 for a little while longer and before you know it, freedoms will find you...

your parents must love you a lot. i had parents like yours and at your age i hated every minute of it...but as you grow older you will begin to see how wonderful it is to have parents who care that much.
