Yes and no. You can meet people on there and they're great, but I'm 24 and you can meet people who leave you feeling well.........not great. So she could be right. It's not all it's cut out to be. I can tell you from experience I met two people on YA, and I IM with them all the time. YA is far better. But that's just my opinion

no, i am 14 and have one. that is the age restriction on the site. you have to be 14 or older. it is kinda dangerous though so keep it on private. also, if you want one make it at your friends house, because they know how to make them and she isn't around...so have like a sleepover there and you sould create one within a few hours!! have fun!!

No Not to young. tell your mom that when your young myspace blocks people that you dont know. Your page will be private unless the people that are your friends can See your page. Dont put your real name on there or you can but shorten it out. Sex predators!!

Nope youre not too young. I had a myspace at that age. If you sign up (i think you'll have to pretend to be 16) and then change your brith date to your real one once you've joined, your profile will be in-accessable to people over 18. Also you can set your profile to private no matter what age you are - that means people can only view it if you have accepted them as a friend.

Thats a lot safer if your mom's scared about paedophilles etc..

not really, 14 is the youngest you can be, but there are also also of creeps out there, just don't put your number or address on there and try to keep everything private. and if it helps you can have your mom know who you're talking to so she wont get worried. tell her if all of your friends have one then you would be talking to them not some weirdo you don't know. you can also have her read the safety guidelines so she knows that you are safe.
